Nicklaus Caine is on a domestic flight to Seattle when WiFi & cellular services go down. On landing, each passenger is questioned individually by Homeland Security; Caine is informed that 'while you were in the air, a nuke was launched at our nation's capitol.' The website hosting company that Caine works for - BladeFree Hosting - has been linked to the attack; an agent offers Caine a deal hoping to turn him into an asset. The io9er codenamed "Myseri" defects to the espionage thriller genre.
